Our mission

The mission of MED Joinery CC is to achieve a high clientele through the manufacturing of all of our purpose-made joinery, moldings and windows. We strive to keep all of our customers happy while providing a high-quality product.

Our history

80s
Started by Melvin & Lorraine Weyer

MED Joinery was originally founded by Melvin and his wife Lorraine Weyer in the early/late 80’s

1993
Melvin brought in his brother Edwin

In the early 90’s Melvin brought on his brother Edwin Weyer as a partner, which then turned a small family run business into a well-known company with +-30 employees supplying the Eastern Cape and Border Regions of the Transkei and servicing East London with all purpose-made joinery, moldings (skirting’s, architraves & dado rails) and slimline windows.

2007
Melvin passed away

In 2007, Melvin Weyer sadly passed away and Edwin carried on running the business.

2022
Derrick takes over from Edwin

In November 2022, Edwin Weyer retired and Derrick Weyer carried on the legacy of MED Joinery and his late father.

2023
14 ton truck aquired

In 2023, MED Joinery acquired their own 14-tonn truck and now offers courier services as well as delivering products order from MED Joinery.
